The Mind and Heart Psychophysiology Lab focuses on researching the physiology of emotion and emotional resilience. Dr. Daugherty conducts the lab, and its capabilities include measurements of HRV, RSA, EDA, facial EMG and EEG, all useful tools in the study and understanding of emotion. Measurements can be done in the lab or 'out in the field'. Measurements can be done on one subject at a time, two subjects simultaneously measuring individual responses, or the interaction of subjects. The underlying hope is that if we can better understand emotion, we can more effectively cultivate tools, techniques and practices to enhance emotional resilience.
